Hello! After almost 2 weeks of VERY heavy rains and a boil water advisory, Vancouver has now been hit with a ton of snow - over 1 foot and still falling! It's now -5 degrees, and most schools and universities in the lower mainland are closed. Only major roads have been plowed, most side streets are icy and thick with snow. Rod was scheduled to attend a conference in Coquitlam today but decided to take a snow day instead! Kai is home as well and we all went tobogganing. Last year Kai was very hesitant on the snow - he didn't like walking on it and seemed quite nervous. None of that is apparent now, he's loving the snow and we're having a hard time stopping him from eating it! Rod and I are also enjoying the "unusual" weather, it really brightens up the day and is quite a novelty here in Van. We hope the snow stays for awhile, it's supposed to remain cold and continue snowing throughout the week. Another snow day wouldn't hurt either! Hope those of you in the GTO are enjoying your heat wave... love Co, Ro, Kai & Ny
