Finally! I am getting my act together and posting some pictures. Somehow I got out of the habit and it's taken me 8 months to get back at it.
Nyla is 1 1/2, growing taller, and is now 24 pounds. She's solid and sturdy, running around, climbing, dancing (a lot!) and now has a few words. Kai is 3 1/2 and is tall and lanky, outgrowing pants every other month (he's usually wearing floods!) and talks non-stop. Most of the time Kai and Nyla get along well, they have fun together and play well. There are moments of EXTREME upset when something is grabbed by the other. Rod and I are finding that it's starting to feel easier - getting out of the house, doing errands, going on outtings, etc, are not as difficult or exhausting as they once were. K & N are more independent and there are times when we don't even bring a stroller or diaper bag! Rod and I had a 10 day vacation in Mexico in February, which was fantastic! Grandma and Grandad (Barb and Ralph) came here to be with them and they all had a great time (these pictures are from the visit). K & N also see Gran and Pops regularly, they had a sleepover last weekend, and Kai is going to his first movie with them this Tuesday (the Dr. Seuss one). So, compared to many friends we have who get few brakes and don't have parents in town, we have it easy! We appreciate tremendously all of the support, and also that K & N are developing close relationships with all 4 grandparents.
