We welcomed Nyla Heidi Tukker on October 4th, 2006 at 6:34pm, after a 2.5 hour labour. She is now 8 days old and doing very well - she has regained her birth weight, is eating well, and sleeping long hours (4 at a stretch!) She is also sustaining plentiful kisses from brother Kai and has had a few outings. We were at the beach on Tuesday, did errands today, and have spent 2 afternoons at the park.
So far the transition has been pretty smooth. We aren't too sleep deprived, are getting out of the house, and Kai has adapted well. It has been great to have Rod at home and we have enjoyed lots of time together.
We're looking forward to introducing Nyla to the family!
